Rumi is a restaurant where you can enjoy Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine, located a 2-minute walk from JR Koenji Station.

The owner of the restaurant is Mr. Bolbol a Muslim and a native of Iran. Although there is a menu of alcoholic beverages, there is no menu using pork or pork derivatives, and most of the food menu is Halal. The chef is Indian, and you can taste authentic Indian curry that is representative of North India. The spiciness of Indian cuisine is based on mild so that everyone can enjoy it, and those who are good at spicy food can order it at their preferred spiciness.
A Persian barley soup called "Soupeh Jo" is served at lunch time. The texture of the thick barley is very comforting. It is tasty enough as it is, but the authentic Iranian style is to add lime or lemon juice. The refreshing flavor goes well with ethnic dishes.
Some dishes from Bolbol, a Persian restaurant on the second floor, can also be ordered.
